Festivals
MY HAPPINESS was to see this!
To tell you how happy I was to devote myself to the making of these various projects, for which all my copyright has been registered with the Office National des Droits d’Auteur et des Droits Voisins (ONDA), together with all my assignments to the benefit of the Association Sauver l’Imzad, for I have always said “It is not Farida Sellal who saved the Imzad, but the Imzad that saved her“… I owed it that much!
When I flee Algiers to go to Tamanrasset, this is what I do… These are my heart’s delights… Look at the marvels we have in the depths of the desert… Watch Cherki become one with his guitar! Tamanrasset, Dar el Imzad and all that atmosphere, I miss it so much. Today, seeing these young people again is a true joy for me. London – Farida, 10 April 2020
To prepare the young people for the festivals or the concerts, I personally saw to their rehearsals at Dar El Imzad.
All the more so since Akhamok, the leader, is the grandson of the late Hadj Moussa Akhamok.
2017
“Eyam El Djanoub” at Dar el Imzad
In partnership with the ONCI, all the design and staging of the festivals at Dar el Imzad are the work of Farida Sellal, for the sole benefit of the Sauver l’Imzad association and of the artists.

“Tirawt en tarha del ghafit”
“A message of love and peace”
I had written this scenario entitled “Tirawt en tarha del ghafit”, a message of love and peace, on the basis of the songs of the Imzad group.
Unfortunately, we had not been given the full means to ensure rehearsals and proper care for the artists. The file was lodged with ONDA and I hope one day to take up this concept again just as I envision it. Below, an excerpt from the show, which you can find on my YouTube channel.
2010
For the first time, the TINARIWEN in Algeria.
It was my duty to invite Ibrahim Ag El Habib, whom I had met at Badi Lalla’s home in 1979 in Tamanrasset.
That encounter was magnificent.
