THE STORY OF DAR EL IMZAD
The “Hous of Imzad” construction project was one of the recommendations of the Imzad international conference held in March 2005.
A general assembly was held on December 13, 2005. The operation was then launched.
A file was deposited with the Direction of the Areas of the wilayas of Tamanrasset.
A payment schedule was established over four years. Our challenge was launched.
THE INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS ‘HOUSE

5 km from the center of Tamanrasset, on the road to Assekrem, Dar El-Imzad, the International House of Artists, is born.
House of Imzad will be called upon to be a space for cultural creation dedicated to artists from around the world and those passionate about the traditional arts of the deserts. The set includes workshops dedicated to the manufacture of Touareg and Imzad crafts, others for Tifinagh, singing, Imzad poetry and other expressions (Tazemart flute, Tindey drum, etc.) .
House of Imzad will be equipped with a stage for music concerts, an audio-visual production studio, a computer area, a media library, a museum and shops. National and international artists (musicians, painters, sculptors, writers, etc.) can be accommodated in the residence.
Sustainable development: As part of the fight against poverty, shared wealth and trade fair and “future” tourism adapted to the region, the objective was to generate activity and create sustainable employment for women and young people, while safeguarding ancestral culture and launching tourism and crafts in the Great South… All that remained was to develop the project.
The project was in my mind to the amazement of all the members, but I was determined and I stopped all professional activities to devote myself entirely to Dar el Imzad.

Action plan
Construction of the fence in preparation for the second international meeting of Imzad in 2010.
To generate interest and raise awareness, I had to work out with the members of the association an action plan by defining the objectives to be achieved by evaluating them and planning them over time.
Cultural and scientific meetings in Dar el Imzad have been registered each year. We have won our loyalty from our sponsors thanks to the transparency of the assessments and the audits carried out. The results on the ground and especially the image proudly carried by the Association Saving the Imzad was our leitmotif.
Since then, events in Dar el Imzad have been recorded for each end of the year. Our sponsors, we have won them over thanks to transparency, results on the ground and above all their image which was proudly carried by the Association Saving the Imzad.
Under the watchful eye of young and old artists, Cosider worked day and night.
On 11/11/11, we inaugurated the first phase: the reception of the classrooms.

Note:
Dar El Imzad being in a valley where dust is the main danger for electronic equipment. The best solution was to cover the floor by kerolite used in the pharmaceutical industry to make Talc; which was great for anyone who walked barefoot.
