«Man, leave all the paths of the earth where anger cries out and bites, where lies deceive you and hide, where pain lays a heavy stone on your neck. And, alone in the desert, alive, you will be closer to the sky.»

Listening to silence

« Listen to the desert speaking to you

Listen to the silence of my absence

At the hour of judgment

Listen to the silence that I will utter when I return from lost time
Listen to the desert, it will tell you that silence is the price of our freedom. »

So she remains attentive to the silence of her silence which dissolves in the silence that surrounds her.

Welcome to my destiny

« I want, like a sultana the moon and its slaves the stars, to be cradled by the palm fans, the fans of perfumes and the fans of dreams. And, I myself open my two hands to cradle my destiny.»

Proud to carry my life

« Nevermind all the veils under which you hide, I laugh at it as the sun laughs at the clouds. The sky which bears the sun, the earth, the moon and the stars, is proud to bear them. And just like it, the sky, I am proud to carry my life.»

Taguelmoust

Taguelmoust (the Tuareg veil)

A great Tuareg chief of Hoggar, Moussa Ag Amestane once said:

«The reed flute never sings so well as in the solitude of space where only silence listens to it.

Man, you have to know how to be silent like silence to listen to the song of space.

Who ensures that light and shadow do not speak?

Those alone do not understand the language of day and night »

What did he want to imply under the “veil” of these remarks?

Farida

Farida enfant

« From a very young age children learn the laws that the desert imposes.
The desert must be deserved, it is the fight of a lifetime.
The tree of life grows among the stones it breaks.
The desert has to be deserved, a voice inside me repeats.
At the end of my sequestered memory, as in a torn garden, words mixed with emotion come back to me. They tell me about life, its joys and its sorrows that the people of the desert and the desert itself taught me. »

Motherly Love

«My child, source of life,

The hymn of my springs

Beyond the barriers of time

At the shores of your estuary, I dock

I recognize you at the beginning of your first breath.

It is for you that I live… And, by you that I am. »
